For Every Time There Is a Season for Healing AUTUMN 2015
When we speak in terms of inner healing it’s important sometimes to focus not only on ourselves but ourselves in context - The Self on the planet – The Self as part of the Cosmos, the World, the Community, the Family. One thing we all have in common as humans is the need to feel connected. So when we engage in the movements through the Capacitar practice of healing ourselves, I thought it might be fun and interesting to create some meditative points while practicing healing movement to ground ourselves in the seasons and energies on earth through the Medicine Wheel and psyche as has been projected on to the heavens through Astrology. The following is an educated collection of premises I have brought together because I thought it would be useful, insightful and fun for the Capacitar community of trainers at large. I am hoping, between us, we can begin to dialog about our findings as we practice, to see if this is an effective tool that can enhance the use of Capacitar techniques ...

Not There Yet • March 10, 2015
Gender inequality continues to exist at home, at work, at school - everywhere. For this reason people, famous and not, banded together March 9th for International Women’s Day, encouraging one another, eagerly drawing attention to the website: “not-there.org”. International Women’s Day celebrates the 50-year mark of the Women’s Equality Movement. The Not-There campaign is asking people to “remove” themselves from social media: Instagram, FaceBook, etc. leaving silhouettes in place of their photos in protest to say that we are nowhere near achieving gender equality. However, the protest affirms the dangerous notion that “women don’t exist”. Through this demonstration, participating individuals are affirming the notion that despite our efforts over the past 50 years, women are still invisible. There are precious few who value the stand-alone principles of the Feminine in Western culture, including women. In ancient Greece there were no words in the their language to say, “female citizen”.
some thoughts on this “mercury retrograde” thing • January 2015
Retrograde…when a planet appears to be moving backwards along its path. It is time to take care of old business; catch up on things; review; regroup; reconnect in the areas of life that are mirrored through the planet and sign or signs involved. How this feels and what we experience is different. It seems like things are going wrong; crazy; falling apart; going to hell, etc. It can be perceived as Murphy’s Law taking over and becoming the norm. I think of it as...
